Cultivating a garden, as well as friendships

Over the past two weekends Padbury Community Garden Inc. held two wonderful busy bees, which saw both dedicated regular volunteers as well as some fresh new faces join in.

For today's busy bee, we have these lovely people to thank for their time, effort, contribution and enthusiasm in making yet another marked improvement in the community garden:

Thank you Sue, Dave, Ant, Ellen, John, Dayle, Mark, Bryan, Jenny, Sister Thomas, Sister Manakofua, Pam, Carolyn, Holly, Marie, Liam, Liz, Simon, Christine, Issy, Jack, Beate, Sara,

Nathan and Joe.

With the placement of several new raised garden beds around the existing pathways, the community garden is certainly looking more complete. The funds that have recently come in from the State's Community Gardens Grant, has assisted in contributing money towards making it possible to add these additional features to the garden. With these raised garden beds now all planted out, it will be great to watch them flourish with produce for all to share.

It's always wonderful to see the layers of intergenerational engagement at the garden, creating new friendships and learning from each other. Such a valuable benefit we hope our community gains from having the community garden at their doorsteps.
